Lily James recovers the princess style at the Fashion Awards

After her on-screen and red-carpet transformation into Pamela Anderson, actress Lily James returned to her traditional romantic style at the Fashion Awards in a dainty Rodarte gown.

Lily James has undergone a major transformation in the fashion world this year. Behind her were the flowing princess dresses that honored her English rose image. In her place? Versace cutouts and latex, inspired by Pamela Anderson, the ’90s bombshell she played on screen.

At the Fashion Awards, however, the Pam & Tommy star returned to her fairytale roots in a ruffled white dress by the Mulleavey sisters’ label Rodarte, complete with a sequined bodice. Although the dress could have been lifted straight from James’ earlier style book, the sheer skirt and thigh-high slit gave a nod to the edgier fashion choices we’ve seen so far this year. Her makeup, done by Charlotte Tilbury, was simple and highlighted her natural beauty.

“Lily is the epitome of the English rose, but she is so much more than that. We are all constantly evolving and growing and her style is always going to reflect that,  the actress’s stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, told British Vogue early this year. The secret to all of her red carpet looks is confidence, whether it’s a romantic couture confection or a skin-tight minidress.
